This past weekend my friends and I attended the first Ficha Uchi Campaign mission for the New Year 2017 that took place in Kawangware, Nairobi.
Quick heads-up on what Ficha Uchi Campaign is all about; This campaign seeks to restore the dignity of young boys and girls who come from humble backgrounds, lack school uniforms and are forced to attend school in torn uniforms, and worn out home clothes in cases where they cannot afford school uniforms at all. So what the campaign does is provide brand new school uniforms to these kids, to different school across Kenya through the year. Check full into at http://fichauchi.org/
Ficha Uchi Campaign missions bring together young children from different school, volunteers from across the country, celebrities, artists, photographers, parents and teachers to create a beautiful interactive event.
The tailors make the uniforms on site, so the kids get to see and learn what goes into making their uniforms 🙂
